Bombs, war, angry bearded men, sobbing veiled women and badly damaged cities: Iraq today. Opposite this are images from the 50s and 60s: images with frivolous music, Western-dressed women studying and elegantly dressed men in Baghdad, a modern city. How did it come to this? In this 3D documentary, Iraqi filmmaker Samir pays tribute to the frustrated democratic dreams of a people successively ravaged by the horrors of dictatorship, war and foreign occupation.
