"Opportunity rocks where you least expect it."
Rock the Kasbah is about Richie Vance, a downtrodden rock executive who takes his latest client on a USO tour of Afghanistan. When Richie loses all his money and his passport due to circumstances in Kabul, he discovers a young girl with a great voice, whom he manages to qualify for the Afghan Star, the Afghan version of American Idol.
