Circle plot

"In here…everything gets you killed."

Fifty strangers awaken in a huge, mysterious room who don't know how they got there. Arranged in an inward-facing circle, and unable to move, they soon discover that every two minutes one of them dies from a strange device in the center of the room. At first glance, the attacks seem random, but then they find out that they themselves have the power to decide who will be killed.

Poor nonsense film tries to stretch the initially nice backside beermat idea for 90 minutes, resulting in deadly boring (and sometimes downright laughable) dialogues. It never gets exciting and what the end had to mean is Joost allowed to know. Boring and silly.

'Extremely entertaining', 'suspense drama', 'scariest reality show'... I mean really? It has never been exciting, the most difficult person almost always dropped out. Only the young man's trick to stay alive was original. I didn't understand anything about the last minute: it suddenly turned out to be aliens, but what did they do then? Why the hassle with that circle? And what do those other people mean to the survivor? Wasn't clarified and also succeeds little.
Not a credible film either: if a few people died in real life, it would be quite a hysterical affair. Some would go mad, others pray... but so many people sacrificing themselves? come on!

Dozens of people find themselves in a circular space for reasons that are unclear. They themselves stand on a circle that they cannot leave and are not allowed to touch each other. When the first deaths fall, it seems that everyone is involved in a deadly game whose rules no one knows. It is up to the group members to find out how the game works, as well as when the liquidations will end. A daring concept because of the lack of an identifiable protagonist, so you never know who the next victim is, and because of the completely static basic fact. Not all actors are equally convincing and could have been shorter, but Hann and Miscione have intelligently incorporated the psychological aspects of group dynamics (other than the unsatisfactory denouement) into this interesting thriller. From the creators of the web series The Vault (2011-2014).
