Despite the negative reviews, this film is still worth watching.

The film manages to convince sufficiently with a low budget. The story revolves solely around the relationship between Alex and Sergi. The role of Alex was originally to be played by Bárbara Lennie, but she was prevented by other commitments. Natalia Tena took her place.

The film will be recognizable to some viewers. How to deal with so-called long distance relationships? This is shown using modern technology, but does it also have a chance of success? The whole thing may be very boring, but I think it is a great job that they were able to deliver such a product with a minimum budget and 2 main characters. The film won no less than 18 awards and was nominated 22 times.

3.0 *

The relationship between Alex [Natalia Tena] and Sergi [David Verdaguer] has reached a stage where they are considering starting a family. Those plans are put on hold when Alex is offered the chance to make a career by working on a project in Los Angeles where she is supposed to stay for 9 months. Sergi continues to live and work in Barcelona and this film follows their attempts to make meaningful contact and maintain the relationship during this period. The leads are given the freedom to add dialogue and this results in some inventive, spontaneous moments, but unfortunately the story, for the most part, plays out exactly as you would expect.

I thought the film was successful and certainly did not find it boring. I found it interesting to see how the relationship evolved during the long-distance relationship. The first months were still fun, but just like in a normal relationship, routine set in. The contacts felt obligatory.

There was enough variety in the events, cybersex, not showing up, reproaches and frustrations ... it all felt very familiar. Fortunately no traditional plot where one person met someone else.

Great to deliver a decent product with few resources. Acting was also on par. In terms of dialogues rather banal, but in itself that is not illogical between a couple.
