Ghost in the Shell Arise: Border 1 - Ghost Pain plot

This prequel is set to the original Ghost in the Shell movies. It takes place in the year 2027, a year after the fourth (non-nuclear) world war. Several agencies are fighting cybercrime in the Newport City metropolitan area. When a bomb goes off in the city, cyborg hacker Motoko Kusanagi, a military officer and member of the 501 Secret Unit, begins an investigation. She soon becomes entangled in a dangerous investigation into the detonated bomb.
