Mees Kees op de Planken plot

The class of Mees Kees (Willem Voogd) is going to make a play. The class is really looking forward to it, until they discover that headmistress Dreus (Sanne Wallis de Vries) has chosen a boring medieval play. Then Mees Kees comes up with something completely different, something that looks a bit like it… He comes up with a real Mees Kees solution. But when the old teacher returns and Dreus finds out that Mees Kees has turned everything upside down, Mees Kees has to go to the toddlers and everything seems to go wrong for Tobias, Sep and the rest of the class...

My children (7, 9 and twice 11 years old) gave the film an average of 4.5. It is a very pleasant film, which rambles on without any depth. As with the previous two films, the characters remain caricatures and the story has few highs and lows, but who cares. Yesterday I saw the Journaal annual overview of 2014 and that made me so gloomy that I only wanted one thing: a nice hour of simple entertainment and you can leave that to Mees Kees. We all enjoyed it !

Actually, all films by Mees Kees are nice.... my preference is for part two, but they are very close to each other.

All characters from the first two parts pass by again....quite nice.

A series that is good to watch with your little ones .

Reasonable acting here again.......and Sanne Wallis de Vries is funny again.

I wonder if there will be another part.

But Kees movies are fun. Not only can I think back to my group 7 last year and all the recognizable vicissitudes (Cito, musical, the hustle and bustle of twenty noisy children ) but they also know how to keep the films fun for an older audience. Nice that elderly people also play along, makes for fun interaction.

The best thing about these films is the love that Mees Kees has for his students. The chemistry between teacher and class really shines, especially with Tobias.

I also found the "wedding" very cute, I don't know if it's pregnancy hormones but I felt a tear prick.

I think there will be another part, the transition to secondary school has been left too open here. We shall see.
