Mees Kees plot
Mees Kees, the new substitute at school, arrives just in time for Tobias. The teacher sent him out of class for nothing. He was also often punished. Strange, because Tobias is quite smart, very cheerful and super funny. Mees Kees teaches very differently from the teacher. That's because he's still an intern. Fortunately, the children help him teach. For example, with biology they watch Spider-Man and with math they turn the tables upside down. Although Tobias blossoms through the presence of Mees Kees, Kees notices that there is something wrong with Tobias. He never brought bread, for example. That's because his father has passed away and his mother is in bed all day. Mees Kees takes care of Tobias. He shares his sandwiches with his mother's delicious omelette with him, takes Tobias out playing pinball and lets him stay 'after detention'. The strict director Dreus doesn't like it…

A nice Dutch children's film that stays neatly within the lines (sometimes a pity), all the way in terms of humor it is a bit "safe".
But otherwise quite a nice film.... the children in this film I don't find annoying this time... 
.
And the acting was okay! Story is not that much but that is not necessary with a film in this genre.
My son likes this movie too

Sympathetic, but also somewhat naive and therefore not sufficient. I also agreed with the director, school is for learning, not for fun. I myself always hated masters/teachers and later teachers who mainly tried to be fun and learned very little from them. Besides that, everyone older than me has also had lessons in a normal classical way and ended up also, often remembering the tables to ten and capitals of the world. This does not alter the fact that the film is still reasonably entertaining and especially Voogd is in a certain way disarming and also believable. Also nice are the things that I recognize from the past as a monkey cage or hiding when returning from a school trip. I honestly wonder now what's so nice about that, but oh well, it is recognizable. Furthermore, very light in tone and content with some side plots (especially around Tobias) that are not really worked out anywhere. Probably a very nice movie for children, nice to see for me, but nothing special. 2.0*.
