A rather mediocre war propaganda film that relies on the characters you see change during their training; that is arguably the film's reasonably strong point, because the information regarding the progression of the war remains very sparse. The same applies to the realistic portrayal of the battles at the end; it is all depicted in an unrealistically heroic manner.
