In the genre a great film that shows how adults dictators let small children do their dirty work for them! And that is a problem worldwide according to insiders. In the film we see a schoolboy slide from his relatively beautiful childhood and life, to a ruthless young man who blindly does what his commander tells him. Yet you notice that now and then morality rears its head and a small rebel arises that wants to go its own way.

Excellent film that seems to have been made quite realistically.

“I just want to be happy in this life.”

Raw and chilling film. Many films have already been made about child soldiers, and there is therefore a risk that you will apathetically undergo the horrific stories because you have been beaten to the bone by now. But Beasts of No Nation impresses, and that is mainly due to the playing of the young Abraham Attah and Idris Elba.

Incredibly clever how Attah manages to play a boy who is lovingly raised, but is used as a child soldier due to circumstances. Completely indoctrinated, but sometimes you still see a hint of humanity. His final monologue is chilling, and it shows that the future of these guys is very uncertain.
