George Takei (born April 20, 1937) is an American actor of Japanese descent. Takei starred in several feature films in the early sixties. He is best known for his role as Hikaru Sulu in the science fiction series Star Trek. In 2004, he was awarded the Japanese Order of the Rising Sun for his contributions to US-Japan relations. This documentary follows Takei, and his husband Brad, on a quest for life, freedom and love.
