Ik struikelde vanavond over deze film op teevee en heb het eerste half uur gemist, maar poeh. Aangrijpend, en dan vooral door Rhys. Cooper is ook overtuigend. Hanks irritant als altijd.
Ja, het is soms aan de zoetsappige kant. Maar er zijn voldoende oprecht dramatische momenten (in positieve zin) die dat zoetsappige begrijpelijk en draaglijk maken. Voorlopig 4*, maar ik zal ‘m nog eens willen herzien.
