I - HATE - GIVING - BAD - REVIEWS because I believe simply completing a movie is an accomplishment AND no one ever intends to make a bad movie. However; without Jake, this movie would have been a contender for worst movie ever.
Other than Jake, who also had his moments of being underwhelming, this film is an absolute disaster on every level. EVERY level. Script was terrible. The bar can somehow afford to pay Jake 5k per week for protection but rarely has for than 50 people in it. I guess they didn't want to spend money on extras. I think they spent most of the budget on the boat crash at the end with a cherry on top for stupidity having the bad guy thrown 100 feet and landing on top of the Road House and still be "alive". What???
The acting was shockingly bad. I am embarrassed as actor and I am not even in the film! Sorry Conor, you were bad too but at least you have an excuse being that you are a fighter not an actor.
What makes this inexcusable is that a winning template was already created for this production team. All they had to do was follow the template and write an updated script.
I hope the film gets enough views to at least breakeven because it's sad when anyone loses money in this business.
