Matthijs Gaat Door plot
Matthijs van Nieuwkerk cares about wonder with humor, music and other surprises. Every week, Matthijs invites guests who interest him in his talk show 'Matthijs goes door'. With the regular Sven Hammond Big Band as musical accompaniment, many musical guests come by to perform. The performances and conversations are interspersed with short films with satirical sketches and mini-reports.

Matthijs can indeed sometimes suffer from delusions of grandeur, but I really think this is a relief for Dutch television. Take for example the opening of today's episode and the interview with Rob de Nijs. Fortunately, there will be a second season in August. I think that the audience and the removal of a number of sections can take the program to an even higher level.
