Falling Skies plot

Falling Skies is about an alien invasion. Within a few days, 90% of the earth's population will die as a result. The story begins six months after the start of the invasion. In the American city of Boston, several hundred people appear to have survived. These survivors are now trying to fight the aliens. The Second Massachusetts resistance group is led by history professor Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) and retired soldier Captain Weaver (Will Patton), a Gulf War veteran. Meanwhile, the group must survive in a post-apocalyptic world. This is of course not easy. Food is scarce and danger lurks everywhere in the form of alien soldiers and killer robots. The resistance calls them Skitters and Mechs. It is also a personal struggle for Tom, because one of his children was kidnapped by the aliens after the invasion. He wants to find his son Ben as soon as possible.
