WPC 56 plot
Police officer Gina Dawson is the first-ever woman to make it to the police force in her home in the West Midlands in 1956. Gina may be an official officer, but that doesn't mean her colleagues see her that way. Gina has to deal with sexism and bullying from her male colleagues. As if this wasn't bad enough, the things Gina has to work on are also complicated and intense. Still, Gina manages to hold her own and paves the way for more women to join the police force.
