Vogtland plot
Lawyer Maria "Mai" Gardner moves from Berlin to remote Vogtland for a case. The people here are stubborn, but with a heart. No one needs a big city lawyer to complicate matters, but Mai's arrival shifts a structure. She decides to stay in Vogtland, takes on cases and renovates a house - and she practices shooting. There's a reason why Mai doesn't want to return to Berlin and brings her 15-year-old son Kaleb to live with her: she's on the run from her abusive husband Bo.
