The Vanishing Triangle plot
When investigative journalist Lisa Wallace publishes an article about her mother's murder, it sparks the disappearance of Amy Reynolds. Together with Detective David Burkely, the two work together to find Amy. Their investigation takes them through Ireland, where more and more girls are going missing. As they follow every lead, some find themselves at a dead end. Meanwhile, the killer plays psychological torture games with Lisa, putting her in compromising situations.

I have mixed feelings about this first season of this series: on the one hand it has a good plot, but on the other hand I only see characters that don't come across as too smart; everyone does such incredibly stupid things. In that respect, the level is somewhat lower than that of similar Scandinavian series. In addition to the common thread, the missing of the girls, there are also a number of private matters, whether or not related to the main story. In that respect, the storyline of police officer David's private troubles is still in conflict with the main story and in my opinion they should have been skipped. Lisa's relationship with her father, on the other hand, and the earlier events are a lot more interesting and also provide an opening to the second season. Because with a cliffhanger to end, that is certainly possible. According to some websites, this second season will be released in the middle of this year.
