The Tudors plot

The Tudors is an Irish-Canadian television series based on historical facts and supplemented with fiction. Created and written by Michael Hirst, the series is based on the life of British monarch Henry VIII of England and named after the Tudor dynasty. The Tudors reveals the story of Henry the Eighth, one of the most illustrious monarchs in the history of the English royal family. He ruled like a tyrant, dividing the Church of England from the Church of Rome, and married no fewer than six times. Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays a handsome and passionate King Henry VIII. Fixated on power and hungry for love, the young king rules England and Ireland as he lives his life - with ruthless abandon.
