The Midwich Cuckoos plot

The story is set in the English town of Midwich. A quiet village where nothing really happens, until one summer evening all the inhabitants mysteriously become unconscious. It turns out that all fertile women from the village have become pregnant at the same time. A frightening event that causes a lot of unrest. dr. Susannah Zellaby tries to help those affected. Her own daughter Cassie is also suddenly pregnant. Meanwhile, Police Chief Inspector Paul Kirby launches an investigation. As time goes by, it turns out that something is wrong with the children born from these mysterious pregnancies.
