The Bridge plot
The Bridge follows two police detectives: Marco Ruiz, one of the last remaining cops who is not corrupt, from Mexico and Sonya Cross, who suffers from Asperger's syndrome, from America. Together, they must track down a serial killer who is terrorizing both countries along the Texas-Mexico border. The corrupt Mexican government and ruthless drug gangs don't make the investigation easy.

Never seen the original, but I really liked this American remake of Bron.
Pretty nice casting. Diane Kruger, Demián Bichir, Thomas M. Wright, Ted Levine and Ramón Franco are all excellent. However, the show was stolen for me by Matthew Lillard, who plays an alcoholic, drug-addicted journalist. The series doesn't shy away from being tough either. For example, I would have bet quite a bit of money that Marco's son would barely survive ... So no.
Good series with good acting, great characters, humor and enough tension to keep your interest. Season 2 is even better in my opinion.

Some parts (especially in the beginning) were copied exactly, but as things progressed (see also s2), I got the feeling that more and more deviations were made. But the setting in Am./Mex. feels very different (not bad, btw! - and the whole US-MEX issue is of course different from ZW-DEN), as well as the (main) actors - who, although they do a very good job (nice supporting role again from Matthew Lillard, but also others) will never be able to match the originals as far as I'm concerned.
Still a nice series, although the end of s2 disappointed me quite a bit and s2 became more and more boring anyway.
