Tapie plot

Bernard Tapie was a well-known French businessman, but also a notorious French businessman. The Tapie series tells his story: he bought himself everywhere and nowhere, for example with the cycling team La Vie Claire, which won the Tour de France twice, and with Olympique Marseille, which won the Champions League under his wings in 1993. However, there were scandals, because Tapie was a diagonal mover and became involved in a widely publicized lawsuit with the bank Crédit Lyonnais. He won and, according to the judge, he was entitled to no less than 404 million euros, but that was never paid out.

Series based on someone who really existed.

The mixture of fiction and non-fiction is therefore problematic.

For example, they say that Dominique (the woman of his life in the series) is a fictional character even though she plays a prominent role.

In itself that could result in a simply good drama series, but since many other aspects are so close to reality, I personally find this disturbing.

The series is about someone from the working class who wants to make it in life at all costs.

That's why he makes one attempt after another, sometimes in a shady way.

Sometimes the series is quite entertaining, sometimes a bit long-winded and towards the end I think it becomes a bit weaker.

If you have enough time, you can watch it sometimes, but your television time is rather limited, so I would skip it.
