Swamp Thing plot

Abby Arcane returns to Houma, Louisiana to investigate a deadly virus that originated in a swamp. On the spot, she builds a bond with scientist Alec Holland. After Holland's tragic death, Arcane soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets and that Alec may not be dead after all. When inexplicable and horrifying horrors emerge from the dark swamp, no one is safe.

De serie biedt een opening naar een vervolg, die er niet zal komen. Het is niet slecht, het haarstukje van Patton is dat overigens wel, maar er zitten te veel onafgewerkte verhaallijntjes in en de spanning is ook ver te zoeken. Swamp Thing zelf is ook niet eng en heeft geen dreiging, wat jammer is. Daarnaast is het ook wel erg serieus allemaal.

The series offers an opening to a sequel, which will not come. It's not bad, Patton's hairpiece is, by the way, but there are too many unfinished storylines and the tension is also hard to find. Swamp Thing itself isn't scary and has no threat, which is a shame. Also, it's all very serious.
