Sugartown plot
Jason Burr owns a brick factory in Sugartown, which he tries to keep running. His brother Max has plans to redevelop Sugartown as a modern recreational resort, which has no place for the factory. Local residents, Carmen and Travis, oppose Max's plans, seeking to use Sugartown's dance history as a possible way to restore the city's face. Tensions between the Burr brothers escalate when they both fall in love with the same woman named Emily and Jason proposes to her.
