Stellenbosch tells the story of the Dutch Keppel family, who settled on the Arkadia estate in the 1950s to grow wine, but were forced to return to the Netherlands due to the economic boycott. Only daughter Betty decided to stay to continue the family business. With the election of Nelson Mandela in 1994, the opportunities for her ambitious brother Henk Jr. to once again produce a top wine on Arkadia. The family ties become even more tense as an ever-hushed, fateful event from the past slowly but surely comes to the surface.
