Life on Mars plot
Sam Tyler is a detective in New York where he is hit by a car one day. This causes him to wake up in New York in 1973. Here he still works for the police and he teams up with his new colleagues to solve a series of crimes. It remains to be seen whether Sam can ever return to his own time. In addition, Sam does not know whether he actually wants to return.
