Krøniken plot
In 1949, young Ida Nørregaard travels from Jutland to Copenhagen to enroll in domestic and evening school. When she is told that she cannot do both courses, she opts for night school. Her parents are not happy with her choice, but Ida is determined to make it in the big city.
