Jos is the most sincere man you have ever met. A man with only good intentions who is always there for everyone. His purity, naivety and the fact that he is a bit out of step socially means that Jos does not always understand the world around him very well. Jos is recently divorced, has two teenage daughters and a demanding job. He is also busy as a volunteer and more and more people are taking hold of him. But how much can Jos give without dying himself? The characters in Jos's life have one thing in common: creating stress for Jos. Ex-wife Ineke wants to take his daughters away from him, new love Esther systematically crosses his borders, best friend Bert is not there when Jos needs him the most, his eldest daughter Claire leaves for America to build a life of her own , daughter Maxime is emotionally unavailable and the list goes on. All this stress builds up in Jos and suddenly expresses itself in a violent climax.
