Foyle's War plot
Spring and summer 1940 in the idyllic countryside of southern England: World War II has just begun and the Germans are about to invade England. The nighttime bombings cause fear and hysteria among the population, but someone still has to fight the everyday evil in their own country. Who better to do that than Christopher Foyle? He is aided by his driver Samantha 'Sam' Stuart and his assistant Paul Milner.

I saw the series a long time ago, but I'm watching it again now on BBC First (don't tell anyone, because I always call it the grandma channel).
Even after so many years, it remains a wonderful series, with fantastic acting.
