Fire Country plot

Bad choices don't make a bad man. At least that's what Bode Donavan was told. Halfway through a five-year prison term, he tries to convince himself of it too. He gets the chance to prove it by signing up for an unconventional prison release program: In exchange for a reduced sentence, convicts are matched with firefighters fighting the wildfires in Northern California. The heat rises when Bode is assigned to the program in his rural hometown, the place where all his troubles started.
