I find it a lovely and beautiful series about the ups and downs of two brothers. One brother marries a woman in whom evil lurks. One of their sons also suspects that evil lurks within him. And history seems to repeat itself,

An atmospheric portrayal of the turn of the century around 1900. The settings, clothing, and technological developments receive full attention. The gentlemen's behavior—on the one hand prudish and on the other immoral—is also extensively detailed. But I get the impression that in this series, women determine what happens.

Excellent acting. Actors I would love to see in films and series in the future.

Although the series based on John Steinbeck's book is complete, I would have liked to see a sequel.
