Doodstil plot

Just when Luther thinks he's done with the crime and his role as killer and supporter of the Walraven family, Puk suddenly stands in front of him. She is the daughter of his brother and demands that Luther still, 25 years later, take revenge on the murderer of her parents. The impulsive Puk traps Luther in a spiral of violence and brings him face to face with the demons of his past.

Okay, the wheel is not being reinvented here. And the acting is varied. But I had a great time. Raymond Thiry is good as always, just like Martijn Lakemeier. The latter shows acting similarity to Adam Pålsson, his Swedish series brother (Young Wallander, Before We Die). Nice to see Sallie Harmsen again, who has to grow into her role a bit.

Dead still does not reach the level of Penoza or Klem, but the 4 episodes look nice. And forward: half a star extra for the small but excellent supporting role by Vincent van der Valk (chuckle).

Fairly captivating series, but certainly does not reach the tension and pace of Penoza. Raymond Thiry alias Nicolaas Luther plays quite well.
