Dertigers plot
A close-knit group of friends of eight thirty-somethings share joys and sorrows. They keep getting together to talk about love, sex, careers, childhood wishes and their dreams for the future. In addition, they also share a common trauma, which is shrouded in secrets. One of their friends died in an accident a few years ago, but they don't share their questions and mutual reproaches about this. A smoldering bomb that puts their close friendship to the test.

I never saw the Belgian original from a year earlier and had no prior knowledge of this series. I struggled a lot for the first five episodes. Everything felt a bit forced and made and the high song density didn't help either. Practically every 2 minutes some hit from the 0's was used and at a certain point I was done with that.
So much for the bad news. Because sometime around episode 6 I really got into it. I started to empathize with the characters, I was able to draw out the story lines quite nicely, but in the end the series grabbed me enough and roughly the last 10 episodes I really wanted to watch.
The acting level was quite different but the main characters did well enough to keep watching.
It's Dutch knick-knacks, here and there a bit of soap, but ultimately very addictive.
