Crime Story plot
Chicago, 1963. Michael Torello heads a police team that focuses on serious crime. The most dangerous criminal he has to deal with is Ray Luca, a young ambitious street criminal who is after wealth and power, and he doesn't shy away from any means. His rise is marked by the many victims he inflicts, but this makes Torello even more motivated to tackle him.

A great 80's cop show set in the 60's. Everything was right about this series. Gangsters with quiffs and flashy shiny suits, cops in trench coats and fedora hats, nice cars and a great soundtrack of music from the 50's and 60's. The title song was Runaway by Del Shannon, who committed suicide shortly after (not because of Crime Story but because his wife was cheating on his best friend). The lead roles were played by Dennis Farina, Bill Smitrovich (Corky's father in Life goes On) and Tony Denison. Denison played a great mafioso as Ray Luca. A showy anger who wasn't afraid of the devil. Based on the Mafioso Tony Spilotro, who would also model for Nicky Santoro in Casino. Farina played Mike Torello, a hot no-nonsense detective determined to bust Luca. Farina himself had been a Chicago PD detective for many years and that's why he was as good as Mike Torello, he was basically just Mike Torello. Even today this series is still great to watch because it was already a retro show in the 80's.

good tv series back in time all those classic cars and the music that plays in the background but the episodes are also fine reminds me of the black and white series the untouchables but a lot older than that series i like good crime TV series and this one is definitely on my list
