Joanna Chylka is capable, uncompromising, courageous and rebellious. In a legal world full of men, she holds her own. When three-year-old Nikola Szlezyngier disappears without a trace and the police find no evidence of kidnapping, the child's parents become the main suspects. It is Chylka and her new student Kordian Orynski who are on the case. However, all circumstantial evidence points to the Szlezyngers' guilt. Will lawyers be able to bring the case to a successful conclusion?
