Björnstad plot

Ice hockey legend Peter Andersson returns to his hometown of Björnstad, a Swedish town in the woods, to train the junior team. The residents have already pinned their hopes on the team that will participate in the national semi-finals. The heavy burden that rests on the shoulders of a handful of teenage boys turns into a violent act. One of the players of the junior team is accused of sexually abusing Peter's daughter. As a result, a young girl is left traumatized and the town is in turmoil.

Björnstad season 1

An average and very predictable plot and that's bad enough that I have to describe it that way. In Sweden they have known the samtyckeslagen since at least 2018. They already deal with things like this in this series differently. I have absolutely nothing to do with ice hockey and when I see a guy like that who wears a knitted hat 24/7, the tone is already set for me. Ice hockey played an important role in this series until the decline set in, somewhere halfway through the start of the final game. Then the story also collapsed a bit and the fairly real events turned into a slacker whole with a number of quite exaggerated and improbable scenes. The ending (something they are good at in Scandinavian series) was once again poorly developed. Many things have gone unanswered. Despite that, I don't think there will be a second season. Overall just enough for me.
