Miniseries about the difficult childhood of the young Archibald Alec Leach, who later became known as the legendary actor Cary Grant. Born in 1904, Archibald saw his family torn apart by extreme poverty, his father's adultery and the loss of his older brother John. Thinking his family didn't want him in Britain, he decided to stay in the United States to try to make his way in the entertainment world. After a chance meeting with comedian George Burns, Archibald's life changed forever. However, in the 1960s, at the height of his fame, he struggled with an unhappy private life.
