He has just graduated from the University of Edinburgh and is joining the practice. Housekeeper Mrs. Hall discovers that Tristan has something to hide. Meanwhile, it soon becomes apparent that James has a crush on farmer's daughter Helen Anderson, but wealthy landowner Hugh Hulton is a competitor of James.
