A Very English Scandal plot

Based on the book by John Preston. The series begins in the late 1960s. Homosexuality is no longer a crime, but Jeremy Thorpe, the leader of the Liberal Party and the rising star in Westminster, is doing everything he can to hide his secret. As long as his ex-lover, Nathan Scott, is alive, he is a threat to Thorpe's political career. Jeremy Thorpe lies and cheats, but in the end sees only one way out: to silence Nathan for good.

Started this mini series with doubts, but no regrets. The two main characters do it so well, you completely empathize, in the beginning I had understanding for Jeremy Thorpe, but the further the story went the more sympathy I got for Norman Scott.
