A Very British Scandal plot
The divorce between the Duke and Duchess of Argyll was the subject of one of the most infamous lawsuits of the twentieth century. The beautiful, charismatic Duchess Margaret dominated the front pages of all newspapers, accusing the Duke of, among other things, theft, violent crimes, drug use and bribery. This scandal is shown in its context and scene of battle: the post-war United Kingdom in the 1960s, with the social and political climate of that time, particularly aimed at women.
