The Viking Empire was an unstoppable power for more than 300 years. Throughout history, the Vikings waged war from the seas, notorious for their ruthlessness and with their own rules. This series looks at the history of the Vikings from the perspective of Norse mythology while providing insight into the latest bioarchaeological research. The range of topics ranges from the attack on the northern English monastery of Lindisfarne and the foundation of Kievan Rus to the siege of Constantinople, the journey to America and the conquest of the English kingdom in 1066.
