The TMF Story plot

The idea was as simple as it was brilliant: a radio station on television. Instead of songs, video clips were played and the DJs were called VJs: handsome boys and girls for whom you turned on the TV and kept it on. Thirty years after the start of The Music Factory, all those involved come together to reminisce.

The old footage is fun to watch and I had forgotten many VJs before I watched this documentary. But there was much more to get out of it. It remains very superficial, as if it was made for the same audience that watched TMF 20 years ago, while those people have also grown up.

Netflix often makes its documentaries a bit long-winded, but this is the other extreme where almost every anecdote is dealt with in a minute.
