In 1999, pharmacist Dan Schneider loses his son in a drug-related shooting in New Orleans. When the police have no answers, he decides to do everything in his power to bring his son's murderer to justice. Months later, the effects of his son's addiction and his tragic death hit him again when a disturbing number of young, apparently healthy people visit Dan's pharmacy with prescriptions for high-dose OxyContin. Dan then embarks on a mission: to save the lives of other sons and daughters within his community.
