Fascinating four-part documentary series from HBO about Stax Records in Memphis, Tennessee, which grew from a record store into one of the most influential labels in soul music. Through amazing archival footage and interviews with the musicians and others involved, a sublime portrait emerges of a group of driven people who created a sound that defined an era.
