Boxing '82 plot

Boxing '82 tells the comical and at times touching story of a boxing gym in dire straits, which, like its members, tries to fight its way back up. But Boxing '82 is more than just a place where people come to fight – the school also fulfills a social role in the sometimes harsh environment of Rotterdam's Afrikaanderwijk. The boxers and trainers are above all a family. Since an incident twenty years ago, the school has not been allowed to participate in any boxing matches of the Dutch boxing association. Spurred on by a new generation of young boxers, the veterans finally get the chance to fight for reparation at a boxing gala.
