André Hazes was followed by documentary maker Cheeru Mampaey for two years, during perhaps the most difficult period of his life. The original intention of this documentary was to tell the story of André Hazes's start-up during corona towards his show 'The evening of your life' in Ahoy in 2021. Then things went a little differently in his life. He got burned out and struggled with addictions. Self-reflection and criticism was necessary at a time when his addictions played a major role in his daily life and that of his loved ones.
