100 Foot Wave intimately captures the decade-long odyssey of surfing pioneer Garrett McNamara. Strong second series of this HBO documentary series about the small fishing village of Nazaré in Portugal, put on the map by surfing pioneer Garrett McNamara as a mecca for high waves. McNamara himself is featured less and less, but in his place are many other nice surfers and the visual spectacle is certainly no less. When I started this series I wondered how the makers could possibly keep two seasons interesting, but now I'm eager for a third.
