Forhøret plot

Bjørn is a middle-aged police detective. One day, when he visits the morgue for a case, he discovers that his teenage daughter is dead. The morbid surprise shocks Bjørn, who does not believe the coroner's statement that his daughter committed suicide. Bjørn begins to investigate the cause of his daughter's death, despite everyone around him wanting him to believe that she committed suicide.

A special series; 8 short episodes of about 22 minutes each episodes in a fixed location (including club, restaurant, car, racetrack), each episodes a very limited number of actors (face to face, you know? corona time), and with the finefleur of Danish cinema. Does that make for a good series? I think the series lacks suspense. They are eight separate puzzle pieces that lead to a denouement. Despite the reasonable screenplay and the excellent acting, the tension build-up is low due to the fragmentary interaction. It is original though.

Nice idea to have one suspect in one location reviewed in each episode. Good series with a constant course, except for the first episode with the pathologist: plot technically a bit too much of a good thing. not really realistic. Solid cast without exception. The whole thing should not be about finding a culprit, but more about the way there, especially the role played by Thomsen. He interprets the role of the 'bred up' father very well. A surprising ending, not quite complete, but at least it's an ending. From what I can find about it, the second season doesn't build on the first season.
