Forbrydelsen plot
Detective Inspector Sarah Lund is looking forward to her last day with the Copenhagen Police. She is moving to Sweden with her fiancé and will transfer to the Swedish police. Everything changes after a 19-year-old girl, Nanna Birk Larsen, is found, raped and murdered. Sarah and her colleague Jan Meyer are forced to investigate, and it soon becomes clear that they are hunting an intelligent and dangerous killer. Local politician Troels Hartmann is in the midst of a grueling election campaign to become Copenhagen's new mayor, when suddenly the evidence for the murder connects with him. At the same time, the girl's family and friends struggle with their loss.
