In retrospect, I have to see this second season purely as entertainment. The story was quite strange and was not what I expected after watching season 1. That doesn't take away from the fact that this second season was pretty good. Not only in terms of surprises, events, locations, but also in terms of the cast, now and then some tension, a shorter playing time and the extent to which the whole thing remained fascinating. Predictability, improbability, etc. were not inferior to season 1. In any case, I had a great time with it.
