Fred is the father figure of a very special, blended family. He tries, among other things by constantly playing jokes, to be a good and loving (step-)father to his daughters Clara, Victoire and Romy, whom he takes care of during the weekends. His daughters' mothers all love him; yet they each had their reasons for leaving him. When Fred falls in love with Emmanuelle, a Quebec child psychologist who lives in Paris, a new chapter in his life begins. Emmanuelle has to work very hard to please her new extended family, including Fred's ex-partners.
